On Tuesday, 10/7/08, the School Board Recognized (20) schools for meeting the strenuous requirements to receive the Five-Star School Award for the 2007/08 school year: · Allen Park Elementary, Cape Elementary, Cypress Lake Middle, Diplomat Middle, Dr. Carrie D. Robinson Littleton Academy, Fort Myers High, Lehigh Senior High, Lexington Middle, Michigan International Academy K-8, North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts K-8, North Fort Myers High, Pinewoods Elementary, San Carlos Park Elementary, Spring Creek Elementary, Sunshine Elementary, Three Oaks Elementary, Three Oaks Middle, Trafalgar Elementary, Trafalgar Middle and Veterans Park Academy for the Arts K-8.

Page Elementary – Silver Level o Trafalgar Elementary – Bronze Level
Art works now on display at the Cape Coral City Hall: Giovana Tlasco won 1st place at the Friends of Wildlife, Burrowing Owl Festival with a pastel drawing of a Florida Panther. Olivia Finan and Kira Finan also have great watercolor paintings that were entered. All three have their work hanging in the Cape Coral city hall until March 13th Congratulations to our Odyssey of the Mind team... NFMAA’s Shockwaves team has qualified for State Competition in Orlando on April 4th. This team is coached by George and Laura Effing and is made up of 6th and 7th graders. Team Members are: Ashley Jacobs, Amber Jacobs, Jacob Effing, Stephen Francey, Matthew Cahill and Darius Warfield.

We had a 1st place winner, Laci Hicks in 7th grade and an honorable mention, Olivia Finan in 8th grade. One of my students from last year took 1st place, Abby King in 9th grade.
