WEDS. FEB. 11 NFMAA @ DIPLOMAT 5:15 Last night at Jeffers Park our NFMAA “DRAGONS “ played their first soccer games. In a hard played game our boys team tied Diplomat Middle by the score of 2 to 2. Scoring goals were Matt Vigne and Felipe Escobedo. Our girls lost by the score of 6 to 1 with the goal coming on a beautiful penalty kick by Kayla Grannon. Coach Holmes and Coach Wiegers are very optimistic for the season. Next game is Monday Feb.23 at Jeffers Park against Mariner Middle at 5:15. “ GO DRAGONS “.
MON. FEB. 23 MARINER @ NFMAA 5:15 Our NFMAA DRAGON Soccer teams both lost well played games to Mariner Middle last night at Jeffers Park. Our girls hustled and played a strong game before loosing 5 to 0. Matt Vigne scored a first half goal before Mariner came back to win 2 to 1 in a well played game. Both teams are improving under the coaching of Ms.Wiegers and Mr. Holmes. Next game is Wednesday at Jeffers Park at 5:15 against Challenger . “ GO DRAGONS “
WEDS. FEB. 25 NFMAA @ CHALLENGER 5:15 Congratulations to Ms. Wiegers and our Girl’s Team for beating Challenger 5 to 1 last night. It was the first win for our girls in three years. Scoring two goals each were Kimberly Bonet and Kalyla Gannan and one goal for Noel Sbarra. The defense led by Mikalayla Kelly and Angelina Scarola played great. The girls celebrated by giving Ms. Weigers a cold water bath.
Our boys team lost a tough game by the score of 5 to 3 . With Felipe Escobedo scoring 2 goals and Kevin Vigne scoring one. Jared Hoffman played his usual great game on defense. Next game is on Wednesday against Diplomat on Wednesday at 5:15. Come out and support your “ DRAGONS “.
WEDS. MAR. 4 DIPLOMAT @ NFMAA 5:15 Last night both our Boy’s and Girl’s Teams lost to Diplomat in very well played games. In the Boy’s game our team continued to hustle and play hard to the very end before falling by a 1 – 0 score. Shay Meyers had a great game in goal. The Boy’s finished the season with a 0 – 3 – 1 record in all very close games. Our Girl’s team lost 6 – 3, but continued to improve in every game. Noel Sbarra, Kelly Fusco and Kayla Gannon scored the goals for our team. The Girl’s finished at 1 – 3. Congratulations to all our players and Ms. Wiegers and Mr. Holmes for the exciting season.
