What is PBS? Positive Behavior Support Project
PBS is a program to reward the good behavior that children show us in school everyday. There are two ways we will do this:
Personal Dragon Diamonds
In the hallway or classroom when staff see children showing good behavior and obeying Art’s (our mascot) rules, they are given a Personal Dragon Diamond which they save to “purchase” things from our Dragon Store. We will have little trinkets, school supplies, any other thing that we can purchase to entice children to collect those diamonds.
Class Dragon Diamonds
Classes caught doing the right thing will be given Class Dragon Diamonds. Their teacher will then decide how to reward the class depending on their collection goal. We will have a bucket of outside things which they may use to take their class outside. They may also decide to reward with ice cream or other treats.
At different times of the year children will be allowed to buy into movies, field days, and other things within the building with their personal Dragon Diamonds.
