Title I School

The $40 million project is funded by the Half-Penny Sales Tax and is meant to replace the historical building that was deemed structurally unsafe by opening up more space for students and staff.

Since June 29, Suffolk Construction have been putting up walls for the Alva High School. The school is on track to open August 2027, and will open up the East Zone by providing 2,000 new student seats and 80 classrooms.

For our next Students at Work feature, we meet Cypress Lake High senior Cheyeanna Warren. She works as a server at The Summit of Fort Myers senior living community.
