Uniform Dress Code


NFMAA Dress Code 2024-2025



 

Students at NFMAA should abide by the Lee School District’s policy as outlined in the Code of Conduct, in addition to the more specific dress code designed especially for our school.  Personal appearance will not detract from the educational process.  The purpose of the dress code is to encourage students to focus on the learning process without the distractions of unsuitable dress and grooming.  Students will maintain a clean, orderly appearance at all times.

TOPS 


  • Any color, solid polo style collared shirts, Long or short sleeved.  Logos are to be kept smaller than a quarter. 

  • Any NFMAA Club/Activity shirts

  • Shirts purchased in the NFMAA School Store 

  • T-shirts from other schools, clubs/activities outside of school, are not permitted.

  • Any shirt worn under a uniform shirt must be white or black.


BOTTOMS


  • Uniform pants, shorts, skirts, skorts or jumpers must be navy blue, black, or khakis only.

  • Skirts, skorts, shorts must be adequate in coverage and length - no more than 2 inches above the knee.

  • All bottoms must be worn at the natural waistline and must fit properly - not overly tight or baggy.  No rolling up of shorts.

  • Tights / leggings under dress and or skirt must be of solid color.

  • The following are not permitted: denim jeans, spandex, yoga pants, leggings as pants, jeggings, pajama bottoms, sweatpants, pants with holes/shred.


SHOES


  • Sneakers or enclosed toe style shoes must be worn at all times.

  • The following are not permitted: open toed shoes, high  heels, flip-flops, slippers, shoes with wheels, any rubber shoes (crocs, Yeezy type shoes, etc.) or slides.



JACKETS / COLD WEATHER WEAR


  • Zip up jackets are permitted; however, they must be school appropriate.

  • Button up sweaters and jean jackets are permitted, but they must be a solid color. 

  • Jackets cannot be tied around the waist or draped over shoulders. No long trench coats permitted.

  • The only pullover hoodies and sweatshirts allowed are the ones purchased from the school store.


HEADWEAR


  • Hats or sunglasses may be worn for sun protection during outdoor PE time or other authorized outdoor activities.

  • Hats, hoods, caps, bandanas, grooming combs, headgear, or sunglasses may not be worn during the school day.


PE Attire


  • Tennis shoes and socks are required

  • Caps, hats, and / or sunglasses may be worn for PE classes held outside

  • Sunscreen can be worn, but must be applied at home

  • Students that do not wear appropriate shoes on PE days will sit out for that day


MISCELLANEOUS


  • Articles of clothing, jewelry, accessories (fanny packs), or adornments that could cause injury and / or a distraction (chains, bracelets, rings, chokers
    with or without spikes, or studs) are not permitted.

  • Apparel, bandanas, emblems, insignias, badges, or symbols that promote the use of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, illegal, or gang related activities are
    not permitted at any time while on school property.

  • Adornments, either attached or pierced to exposed body parts other than ears are not permitted.  Examples include but are not limited to
    objects attached or pierced to the tongue, eyebrows, cheeks, and/or lips. Pierced noses are the exception, however, only studs will be permitted.  NO HOOPS.
