Welcome
Thank you for your interest in the NFMAA Dragon Dads program. Our teachers, staff, and students truly appreciate your time and involvement. This handbook has been created to help assist you while making the most of your experience while supporting our students and our school.
Who are Dragon Dads?
Dragon Dads are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer at NFMAA, helping to ensure the safety and security on our campus.
What are the goals of the Dragon Dads Program?
To increase the presence of positive male role models at NFMAA.
To positively influence the lives of our students.
To increase school security and reduce the opportunity for bullying.
What will we do?
As a Dragon Dad you will have an opportunity to assist our teachers and staff with hallway monitoring, point-of-entry security, loading and unloading buses, assisting with parent dropoff and pick-up, helping during lunches, or working with teachers in classrooms.
Dragon Dads may also monitor hallways during passing periods, and assist in the cafeteria during lunches
How can I help?
Your time is valuable. If you can spare as little as 30 minutes a day, or even one day a week - we would appreciate your time. North Fort Myers Academy for the Arts requires that every
volunteer complete a volunteer application and pass a criminal history background check before interacting with children. You may contact the school or pick up an application in the front office.
